Texas Heavy-Ion & Spin Physics Symposium - Fall 2017

Within a range of less than 150 miles, five Texas universities all have very active programs in the field of high-energy nuclear physics. Research groups at these institutes are involved in theoretical efforts as well as in a number of experimental collaborations at both the RHIC and LHC facilities. At many conferences and workshops we talked about the idea of organizing a meeting in which the faculty, post-docs, and students could all get together and discuss the physics that we are all passionate about.

On November 10/11, 2017 the high-energy nuclear physics groups at Rice University will host what we hope will become a series of symposia in which a number of Texas universities share their mutual interests in the field of high-energy nuclear physics. Thirty-nine faculty, postdocs, and students from five TX universities will get together and discuss a wide variety of high-energy nuclear physics topics in sixteen presentations on experiment and theory.
